Christ's initial warning that he gave concerning the end times was, "Be Not Deceived" . . . His foremost sign regarding the end times was of False Teachers. . . (Matthew 24:4-5; Mark 13:5-6; Luke 21:8)
It's upsetting and disappointing how many in the Body receives these who are exactly who Christ forewarns: But, the apostasy of the Church or the "great falling away" is too a sign prior to the "man of sin" (II Thessalonians 2:3-4; I Timothy 4:1; II Timothy 4:3-4). There is a direct correlation between the two.
🤔 Only with God can a man have great success but yet fail or be lost . . . Men will rally behind one who is telling them what they want or allowing them to be how they want in the name of God . . . Churches flourish like this. But, "BE NOT DECEIVED. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7).
In the Church, in most instances, when we emphatically proclaim that one can really sang or that one can really preach, what is actually being praised or being stated is that "This person can really entertain you" . . .
I just keep silent, watch, and think. In these deceptive times, "Don't be deceived." You can't follow a crowd and find God. Much love 💝
📖 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. - 2 Timothy 3:13‭-‬15

Finding Your Purpose in the Church
Have you ever wondered what your true purpose is within the church community? It's more than just attending services or participating in events. Understanding your role can transform both your spiritual journey and the lives of those around you. In this article, you’ll discover how engaging with God’s call can elevate your faith and enrich the entire church body.
When you ignore God's call, it can lead to spiritual complacency. Think about it: are you simply going through the motions of your faith without truly engaging? History offers us a clear warning. Take ancient Israel, for instance. Their downfall wasn’t just about turning away from God; it was also a failure to listen to His call. They let their complacency blind them to the path God had laid out for them. By remembering these stories, you can reflect on your own life. Are you attentive to the ways God might be asking you to serve?
The church isn’t just a building; it’s a vibrant community of interconnected believers. Each individual brings something unique to the table, and every role is crucial to the health of the entire body. Just as your body needs every organ to function properly, the church needs each member to fulfill their purpose. This connection is what creates a supportive environment for everyone involved. Whether you have the gift of hospitality, teaching, or encouragement, your contribution matters.
Jesus shared an important mission with His disciples known as the Great Commission. He instructed them to make disciples, baptize them, and teach others to follow His teachings. This mission isn’t just for a select few; it extends to you and every believer. When you commit to this calling, you help promote spiritual growth, not just in your own life but in the lives of others as well. Think about how you can spread this message of love and truth to those around you.
The journey of sanctification—becoming more like Christ—is ongoing and guided by the Holy Spirit. This gradual transformation takes time and patience. Every decision you make brings you closer to understanding God’s will for your life, as well as your unique role within your church community. Embrace the process. As you learn to trust in the Spirit’s guidance, you’ll find fulfillment in your steps toward spiritual maturity.
Moreover, the church plays a vital role in revealing God’s wisdom to everyone, including those beyond its walls and even the heavenly beings. By being active in your community and living out your faith, you demonstrate God’s love and truth to the world. Your life becomes a testimony of how He works in extraordinary ways through ordinary people.
In conclusion, it is essential to heed God’s call in your life. Engage actively in your church community, and don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone. Make a commitment not only to grow in your own faith but also to help make disciples. Consider reaching out to someone who may need guidance on their spiritual journey or sharing your story with others. Let this be your challenge: choose to engage, support, and uplift those around you.

Discover What It Means to Be a Christian Today

How to Build a Christ-Centered Church With (or Without) a Building
Looking to build a Christ-centered church that goes beyond Sunday? Learn how to focus on authentic faith and reclaim the mission of the church. #ChristCentered #FaithInAction #ChurchCommunity #Ekklesia
What is a Christ-Centered Church? If you grew up going to church, you’ve heard the familiar rhyme: “Here’s the church, here’s the steeple, open the doors, and see all the people.” While it’s a nostalgic image, it misrepresents what a Christ-centered church truly is. The church isn’t the building or the steeple—it’s the people who gathered as followers of Christ. In Matthew’s Gospel account,…

How the Church Can Help Those Managing Chronic Illness
James 5:14-15 (NIV):“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” This passage emphasizes the power of prayer and the church’s role in supporting those who are ill,…

Preaching With One-Day's Notice Reminds Me to Always Be Ready
Our pastor has COVID. She had been trying to call me but was using my husband’s number. I finally connected with her, and when she asked if I would preach the next day on the scripture she was going to use about mustard-seed faith, I knew that I needed more than 24 hours to study the text, dissect it, and write a contemporary sermon. I have never preached from that test, so she was gracious…

I haven’t been very active with my social media accounts lately. For one, I have felt the urge to get more involved locally. Secondly, social media is a poor substitute for community. While FB founder MZ once said it should be like a church community when the dark underbelly was exposed. Yet the algorithm still seems to follow the sinful side of human nature by encouraging toxic negativity. So it seems quite impossible to build an audience without stoking hatred, or spending a lot of money. People who understand this will even do simple things like pronouncing words wrong just to trigger certain people to comment. Even so-called Christian sites focus more on condemning and criticizing rather than “good news” just to build numbers. A content creator I follow has even recently expressed a desire to delete their accounts due to the threats they have received. While I won’t be stopping completely, but I will be scaling back and just post as I have something to share, rather than maintaining a consistent schedule.

The preaching of the gospel, the good news, God's word is the only antidote that God has prescribed regarding this world. He gave his Son. The Son gave his life. By way of our belief in the gospel of Christ, he save and deliver us from this present evil world.
The Son did not come starting programs, beginning a political party, or any other thing. He came preaching and teaching the kingdom. He came preaching and teaching the time to come. He came preaching hope, belief, and faith in God; that if we believe and receive the kingdom of God, we will be there in that world to come. (He's going to destroy this one.)
The gospel is for the purpose of calling people out of this world. The gospel, good news, or God's word is for the purpose of stopping the the works of Satan. The preaching of the Word of God torments devils. The preaching of the Word has become my hope.
However, despite the supremacy of God's word, in this age of the Church, the word of God is not going to appeal to the Church. 📜 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; [4] and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. - II Timothy 4:3-4 It is therefore going to take for us to INDIVIDUALLY respond to God. In this age of the Church, it will not be a corporate turning unto God to take heed to, believe in, and for the hearing of God's word. 📜‭‭Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. - Revelation 3:20
📖 ‭‭Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. [22] And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. [23] Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, [24] saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” [25] But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” [26] And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. - Mark 1:21-26
📖 ‭‭You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. - I John 4:4
📖 ‭‭He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. - I John 3:8
📖 ‭‭To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. [22] “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ” - Revelation 3:21-22
📖 ‭‭Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. - Revelation 21:1

The Economy of Christian Compassion
In exploring the dynamics of modern church practices, it’s essential to critically assess the shift towards a more transactional mindset. The concept of a “unit price” in the context of church engagement raises concerns about the commodification of spiritual experiences. As churches adopt worldly methodologies focused on profitability, there’s a risk of losing the essence of selfless service and…
